About the Webinar

The eight Embracing Change webinar focuses on Governance, Information Management and Privacy requirements for registered NDIS service providers focusing on psychosocial disability. In the first part of this webinar, you will learn about Governance, Information Management and Privacy requirements including the applicability of the Australian Privacy Principles. For the second part, you will hear from a NDIS psychosocial disability provider about their systems and processes which give effect to these requirements.

  • Rebecca Auld and Katrina Broadbent from the Assurance Team at PricewaterhouseCoopers who will outline Governance, Information Management and Privacy requirements for registered NDIS service providers;
  • Mae Tanner, Manager - Training, Justice Connect who will discuss key privacy law obligations for NDIS providers under the Privacy Act 1988; and 
  • Catherine Scott-Richardson , National Manager - Governance, Safety & Quality, Stride who will speak about Stride’s approach to Governance, Information Management and Privacy.


Who should attend this webinar?

This webinar is designed to assist two groups of service providers:

  • Psychosocial disability service providers registering or re-registering as a registered NDIS provider with the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission; and
  • Community services and NDIS service providers currently not delivering services to people with psychosocial disability.

Rebecca Auld, Manager - Assurance, PricewaterhouseCoopers

Bec is a Manager in the Assurance team and has 15+ years senior level experience in the aged care and disability sector, with expertise spanning Quality, Safety, Governance and Risk, Compliance, Human Resources, Project Management, Acquisitions and Mergers, Systems and Training.

Bec transitioned into the Certification practice in 2017, working with major global Certification Assessment Bodies. Bec brings her people-centric and partnership approach to her work, specialising in aged care (Home Care), disability (NDIS), and quality auditing. Bec is an Approved Quality Auditor through the NDIS Commission's Quality and Safeguards Framework and is a Certified Lead Auditor Quality Management Systems ISO9001 (Exemplar Global).


Katrina Broadbent, Assurance Manager, PricewaterhouseCoopers

Katrina is an approved quality auditor of the NDIS Practice Standards and the Account Manager of the NDIS Audit Program at PricewaterhouseCoopers.

She has extensive experience in the Community Services Sector across government, Not for Profit and the Private Sector including Education, Social Services and Disabilities.


Mae Tanner, Manager - Training, Justice Connect

Mae joined Not-for-profit Law as a Lawyer and Trainer in 2016. Mae has over ten years’ experience in legal practice – including as a commercial lawyer in Australia and as a legal advisor working internationally with NGOs, government bodies and the United Nations on governance and regulatory issues. Mae has a Masters in Human Rights and has been an active volunteer in the not-for-profit sector.

Previously a board member for a Canberra based international aid organisation, more recently Mae has worked with a global group to establish an association of human rights advocates and activists, and volunteered at the Asylum Seeker Resource Centre’s Human Rights Clinic in Melbourne.


Catherine Scott-Richardson , National Manager - Governance, Safety & Quality, Stride

Catherine is a registered nurse, with a Masters of Mental Health Nursing and is a credentialed member of the Australian College of Mental Health Nurses.

She has over 25 years clinical and administrative experience in both the public and private sector and has worked across a range of subspecialty practice areas of mental health in metropolitan and regional health services.

Catherine possess advanced clinical leadership skills and in these roles has assessed, guided and contributed to the implementation of innovative, evidence based, recovery led clinical practice.
