About the Webinar

The RACGP and PSA have released updated clinical guidelines to assist medical practitioners and pharmacists who are providing smoking cessation care and might consider prescribing or dispensing nicotine vaping products (NVPs) as an unapproved smoking cessation aide. This webinar is intended to assist medical practitioners and pharmacists implement the new guidelines.

  • Dr Shane Jackson - Chair, Project Advisory Group, Pharmaceutical Society of Australia, updated Guidelines on Smoking Cessation.

  • Describe the process for prescribing nicotine vaping products for smoking cessation
  • Summarise the key aspects of initiation of nicotine vaping products for smoking cessation
  • Outline clinical considerations regarding use of nicotine vaping products for smoking cessation
