The NSW Government has released the draft NSW Water Strategy for public consultation from 15 February to 28 March 2021.
A 1.5 hour online public information webinar session is being hosted as part of the consultation process for the draft strategy and you’re invited to attend.
This session will cover:
The NSW Government is developing a 20-year NSW Water Strategy to improve the resilience of the state’s water resources over the coming decades. The NSW Water Strategy will address key challenges and opportunities for water management and service delivery across the state and set the strategic direction for the NSW water sector over the long-term.

Amanda is the Chief Strategy Officer - Water in the NSW Department Planning Industry and Environment. Amanda is an Executive with over 30 years’ experience in infrastructure planning and delivery including water, energy, transport and IT. Her career as an executive in the utilities sector spans responsibility for corporate governance, capital planning, investment and delivery, as well as operations. As Deputy CEO at Infrastructure NSW Amanda was subject matter expert for strategic water resource planning and infrastructure.
As Chief Strategy Officer at DPIE Amanda and her team are now responsible for developing and implementing a long-term strategy program for water resource management and water sector services in NSW for current and future generations.
Ria is a Director with the NSW Department of Planning, Industry and the Environment leading development of the NSW Water Strategy. Ria has over 15 years' strategic policy experience with state and federal governments working on water and other natural resource management issues.
