The NSW Government has released the Draft Namoi Regional Water Strategy for public consultation from 3 March to 14 April 2021.
A two hour online public information webinar session is being hosted as part of the consultation process for the draft strategy and you’re invited to attend.
This session will cover:
In the last part of this session we will answer questions on what we have presented.
At the end of this session you will be presented with a short survey that we encourage you to complete.
The Namoi Regional Water Strategy is one of 12 regional water strategies being developed across NSW. These strategies will provide us a roadmap for planning more resilient communities over the next 20 to 40 years.
We encourage you to get involved, register for this online information session, and join in the discussion.
If you are unable to attend the session, we will be recording it so you can view it at a time suitable to you.

Shagofta Ali is an Acting Director in the Department of Planning, Industry and Environment. She leads the teams working on regional water strategies in the north-western parts of NSW.
Shagofta has over 10 years' strategic policy experience working across state and federal governments, including in a range of natural resource management portfolios including water, fisheries, crown land, resources and energy.
Brendon Hooper is the Senior Water Strategy Officer in the Namoi Regional Water Strategy team within the NSW Department of Planning, Industry and the Environment – Water.
Brendon lives and works in regional NSW. He has extensive experience working on natural resource management projects focused on improving land, water and environmental outcomes in regional areas. He brings a range of practical skills and experience gained from 10 years working in the private sector, and local and state government agencies.
