Bonnie is a Melbourne based AI Impact Manager for an Israeli start-up, who over the past 10 years has worked her way from change management consultant to a market research and insights manager and then into advanced analytics and AI Throughout her roles, Bonnie has been focussed on ensuring that she makes an impact with analytics and is passionate about the importance of business acumen, data literacy and creativity in ensuring the success of analytics efforts. Bonnie will be sharing her journey into analytics, some lessons she thinks every business person and data scientist should know and some advice to people who are new or finding their place in the industry
Rachel Rayner is a science communicator who has contributed to projects throughout Australia, Vietnam, the USA and South Africa. Now, as the Senior Media Analyst for experimental communications company, AndironGroup, she grows the reach of startups while supporting research and development.
Previously, Rachel has managed media on renewable energy at Planet Ark, presented globally on ocean exploration from the E/V Nautilus, and expanded the reach of National Science Week as well as supported the launch of the MeerKAT while at the South African Agency for Science and Technology Advancement. She also has a published paper on science poetry.
Ankita is a management professional with 8+ years’ experience in leading teams to deliver on strategic goals, senior stakeholder management. Her top skills include senior stakeholder management, strong communication skills, analytical bend of mind, business analysis & process analytics. Ankita’s professional career spans founding and running boutique digital marketing, public relations & advertising agency. Her passion remains in solving real world customer problems through deploying best practices in analysis, innovation and technology. In her current role, as the Project Manager in Suncorp Labs she is at the heart of managing and delivering multiple concurrent transformation and innovative projects that deploy cutting edge technology (AR, Machine Learning, Automation & Data Analytics).
Benjamin is an Assistant Director of ICT with the Department of Home Affairs where he and his section manage over 28 bespoke ICT applications, used globally, 24/7. Benjamin holds a Bachelor of Information Technology and a postgraduate certificate in Public Sector Management. As a passionate technologist, avid learner and sharer of all things technology he enjoys speaking globally about the trials and tribulations of our technology driven society. Additionally, he has won a number of awards including an ACS Gold Disruptor Award for Young ICT Professional of the Year in 2019 and was a finalist for the Australian Blockchain Leader of the Year Award 2019.
Lucia has been the NT Branch Manager at the ACS since November 2018. She has previously worked as a Business Development Manager for simPRO Software and she specialises in advising businesses how they can use technology to transform and improve the way they work. With a degree in Environmental Management and years of experience working in both the GIS and spatial fields, Lucia is now focused on using her passion for technology to help advance the ICT sector in the NT.
