Ms Janice Petersen – Journalist and SBS Presenter

Janice is an Australian journalist and currently the presenter of SBS World News on Special Broadcasting Service (SBS), after many years at the Australian Broadcasting Corporation. She has hosted numerous high profile events, including the Australia Day Lunch, Vogue Codes and featured as a presenter at The Walkley Journalism Awards.

The Hon Greg Hunt, MP – Minister for Health and Aged Care

Minister Hunt was elected as the Federal Member for Flinders in 2001. He has served as Minister for the Environment, and Minister for Industry, Innovation and Science, and was appointed Minister for Health in January 2017. Minister Hunt is incredibly passionate about the health portfolio and his vision is to ensure that Australia has the best health care system in the world

Conjoint Professor Anne Duggan – Chief Medical Officer, Australian Commission on Safety and Quality in Health Care

Anne is Chief Medical Officer at the Commission and a highly respected gastroenterologist with significant leadership experience in a range of healthcare settings. She is also a Conjoint Professor at the School of Medicine and Public Health, University of Newcastle. Anne is passionate about improving healthcare services through sharing knowledge and collaborating across the health system.

We will also be joined by healthcare providers and consumers who were involved in the development of the standards. 

The standards will be launched by Professor Villis Marshall AC, Chair of the Board of the Australian Commission on Safety and Quality in Health Care.
