About the Webinar

Consistent with the Medical Research Future Fund (MRFF) Act 2015 , the independent Australian Medical Research Advisory Board (AMRAB) is conducting a consultation to develop the MRFF Australian Medical Research and Innovation Priorities 2020-22 (the Priorities). 

AMRAB is interested in hearing reflections on the current set of MRFF Priorities, the Australian Medical Research and Innovation Priorities 2018-2020, and their ongoing appropriateness to guide MRFF investments in health and medical research over the next 12 month period in which the Australian Medical Research and Innovation Strategy 2016-21 remains in operation. 

A presentation will be provided by AMRAB members Professor Ian Frazer AC and Professor Karen Reynolds followed by an opportunity for feedback and comment.

Presenters:

Professor Ian Frazer AC

Professor Ian Frazer is the Chair of AMRAB. He is a scientist and previous Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and Director of Research of the Translational Research Institute. He is now Chair of the Translation Research Institute Foundation Board.

Professor Frazer is President of the Australian Academy of Health and Medical Science and member of the Commonwealth Science Council. He is also Chairman of the Australian Cancer Research Foundation's Medical Research Advisory Committee. Professor Frazer is also the Chair of the Genomics Health Futures Mission Expert Advisory Committee.

Professor Karen Reynolds

Professor Reynolds is Director of the Medical Device Research Institute and the Medical Device Partnering Program, as well as Dean (Research) of the College of Science and Engineering at Flinders University.
