Recent events have reinforced the need for mental wellbeing strategies in early learning services and schools. The success of these strategies relies on partnerships with the whole learning community including families.

The Responding Together – Managing Wellbeing in Times of Change and Uncertainty conference is an opportunity for educators to evolve their understanding about how to take a whole learning community approach to mental wellbeing, including in response to a critical incident.

This virtual conference will help you:

  • Grow your understanding of what mental health and wellbeing is and how it’s influenced

  • Determine your learning community’s mental wellbeing needs, including risk and protective factors

  • Consider how to grow and nurture resilience through embedding protective factors across your learning community

  • Develop strong and healthy partnerships with families and the broader community

  • Create practical strategies for promoting and supporting mental wellbeing

  • Understand the key principles involved in recognising, naming and responding to a critical incident to minimise the impact of uncertainty, and then support recovery.

To ensure you can find information that’s relevant to your work, the two-day virtual conference will have a number of sessions focussed on specific learning stages:

  • Early learning

  • Primary school

  • Secondary school

Delivered by experts from the Be You team at Early Childhood Australia, headspace and Beyond Blue, this conference will have strong reference to Be You resources and tools – all designed to help you navigate your way through developing a whole learning community approach to mental wellbeing and assist with critical incident planning and response.

The Be You team highly values the opportunities to work with educators and their workplaces as we all endeavour to grow mentally healthy generations together.
