10 September is World Suicide Prevention Day and 13 September is R U OK? Day in Australia. Whether you are a health professional, workplace manager, community member or an individual, everyone has a role to play in working together to prevent suicide and supporting each other to live well.

Learn from four leaders in the Australian suicide prevention sector. Join the panel as they answer your questions and share their knowledge and experience:

  • Suicide in Australia, the big picture
  • Making suicide prevention at work, work
  • Signs that an employee needs help and where to get it
  • Creating a safe workplace culture
  • Creating a mentally healthy workplace.

Asking R U OK? needs to be every day and, when that conversation gets too big for us to handle alone, we all need to be equipped with the tools and knowledge to get to that next level of support.

At the end of this session you will be better informed how to have those difficult conversations as well as how to navigate the numerous support avenues available to us in Australia.
